Mimika is the exemplary role for religion harmony in diversity

Indonesia’s top moslem clerical agency (Majelis Ulama Indonesia – MUI) chief regional office of West Papua, Ustaz Amin AR, and the West Nusa Tenggara’s (Nusa Tenggara Barat – NTB) Governor, TGH Muhammad Zainul Majdi, both agreed that the diversity of faith believers and the religious tolerance in Indonesia is a meritorius norms should be observed by all Indonesia.

Peoples in Mimika has fully understood the value and norms that should be implemented in their life in order to maintain the religious harmony and kept the interfaith dialogue to address different issues. These already became a living character amongst the Mimikan expressed on their daily basis interaction. Mimika could be considered as the exemplary role for all Indonesia on how to learn about to respect each others, solidarity in diversity, and uphold the norms in order to maintain the religion tolerance. West Papua is safe enough and welcome anyone to make a development, start a new business and make a living, added by Amin AR.

On the other side, in Timika Regency, real facts that many churches and mosques has been built, means that the peoples are true religiously adherenced. Governor Zainul further praised the created harmony in the city, cited from the interview while attending the social gathering of West Papua resident which originally came from West Nusa Tenggara. Different with Timika, Governor Zainul, called the peoples of Mimika for always express their gratitude to the God for being blessed by the rich and abundant natural resources on their land, uphold the security stability by maintining the religious tolerance anad harmony. Governor also invites the Joint Forum for Religion Harmony (Forum Kerukunan Umat Beragama – FKUB) and the Indonesia’s top moslem clerical agency of West Papua Branch (Majelis Ulama Indonesia Papua Barat) to visit West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and hold a disscussion and seminar about how to maintain the religion harmony in the nation.
