Mimika Sport Complex, a state of the art sport centre build in Papua.
The Mimika Regency, Papua, soon will have an international-class Sports Complex. The construction will receive an assistance from PT Freeport Indonesia, as part of the preparation to host the National Sports Week (Pekan Olah Raga Nasional – PON) 2020. The sports complex will be named Mimika Sport Complex (MSC) cover the area of 12.5 hectares, owned by Mimika Regency Government. The complex will have a closed stadium facility, open stadium, athlete’s dormitory, and other supporting buildings.
A closed stadium is design to accommodate 5,500 spectators for badminton, basketball and volleyball. The open stadium will be used for football as well as some athletic branches.
