Minister Panjaitan invites Australian Senator brandis to spot the massive development in West Papua
The Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, praised the government success in West Papua development in front of hundred participants of Indonesian Diaspora Global Summit at the JS Luwansa Hotel, Jakarta, held on Monday, 21 August 2017. He told to the audience about how he convinced and offering the Australian Senator, George Brandis, to visit the West Papua to observe the masive development in the island these days. Minister Panjaitan further to offer the Senator Brandis to exercise the comparative study between the development achievement to the closest neighbouring country, Papua New Guinea, with what has been done in West Papua by the indonesian government.
Minister Panjaitan exposed the admiration of Senator Brandis to witness the massive development in West Papua, convinced him that the country has changed a lot and so with West Papua. Senator Brandis also praised the infrastructure development, and commented on the new road that stretched until the road. He was enjoyed while he was on the road with Minister Panjaitan entourage visiting the border.
Indonesian government allocated a budget of US 10 billion for a year to develop an infrastructure on the West Papua with the population only 4 million peoples. During the summit, the issue about education and health were discussed, in addition to the issues concerning the saving energy and others social agenda related to the Indonesian diaspora in global.
